Avoid contact with bleach

Suggested that sponges be replaced between 3-4 weeks
To sanitize your sponge soak in vinegar for 5 minutes, rinse and air dry
White cellulose sponge can be cut up and placed in your compost bin or can biodegrade in your moist garden soil within 2-4 months
Peel off the top printed fibre and place in your recycle bin

Since first using the sponge snob sponges (leopard is my fave) I have them in almost every wet area of the house, apart from the kitchen sink I have them in my bathrooms and even the laundry too! No more daggy green and yellow sponges, now I have something nice to clean with and to enjoy the process of a tidy clean space. These sponges last ages, so cost per use is a bonus! I clean mine once a week with bicarb, a dash of household vinegar and pour some boiling water over the top! Voila! Brand new again! And don’t let the non-scratch deter you, it’s so you don’t lift the non-stick off your pans and protect your beautiful bench tops. If you need a bit of extra grit I put a tiny drop of jiff on my sponge and any reside comes straight off my cookware! I’ll be a sponge snob for life
